The Common Admission Test, most commonly known as CAT, is the sought-after MBA entrance examination in India. It is a prerequisite for admission to the management programmes at the IIMs. Candidates must get through the Common Admission Test in order to be considered for admission to the IIMs. The total duration of the test will be 120 minutes. Some Key Components of the CAT Exam:

  • Since 2009, The CAT Exam has been held as a Computer Based Test. Previously the exam was conducted in the Paper-Pen mode.

  • To be eligible for the CAT Exam, a candidate must have received at least 50% in the bachelor’s degree and 45 % for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates.

The Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation section consist of questions from Blood Relation, Caselets, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Tables, Line Chart, Graphs and Pie chart. The CAT 2022 exam is set to take place on November 27th (tentative). The registration process will commence in the First Week of August. The CAT admit card will be available on the official website of the IIM in the last week of October. Candidates planning to take the CAT 2022 exam should first gain a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus and schedule their preparation accordingly. Create a time schedule and strictly stick to it. Start practising mock tests and previous years’ question papers once you’ve mastered the fundamentals. Solving previous years’ question papers will help you gain a perspective of the exam’s difficulty levels and acquaint yourself with the exam structure.
